My Internet Service Provider
I really like my Internet service provider,
Interlog. Why?
- I was *not* put on hold for over 10 minutes when I
phoned. (In fact, I think it was less than 30 seconds.)
- They do *not* force me to use Micros**t Windows.
In fact, they support a variety of platforms, including OS/2 and
Mac systems. But I use none of the above.
- Unix accounts and Web space (10Mb)
comes standard with the package.
- They do *not* make you use a proprietary package for
connecting via SLIP or PPP. (For Windows platforms, they use the
standard Trumpet Winsock shareware.)
- Their prices really *are* reasonable. Check out
their plans.
Note that I am in no way connected to Interlog, except as their
customer. I have no vested interest in praising Interlog; I just
think that, for reasons given above, they provide a good service.
(I did a lot of searching before I found a provider that even
offered any sort of Unix account.)
If anyone knows of any other good Internet service providers, please
let me know!
