it'll make more sense if I use 5, instead of four players... lets say, Alan,
Bernard, Christa, David and Edgar... with bernard sitting to alans right, and
christa sitting to bernards right.. and so on, in a circle, so that Alan is to
the right of Edgar.
Alan and Christa are Dealers, david and edgar have never played before.. and
bernard knows a few rules.

>>Alan deals out cards, gives 7 to Christa, 4 to Bernard, 2 to David and
Edgar, and 8 to himself. David and edgar both pick up their cards while the
others leave theirs face down.
>>Alan gives Both David and Edgar a card, Calling the Foul "touching cards
during dealing". David and edgar put their cards on the table, rather
sheepishly, David says "we can't touch them yet?" Alan gives him a card for
talking. David sighs and says nothing.
>>Alan Finishes dealing and Says "the Game of Mao will begin with me... and go
to my right"***see note***
>>Alan Plays The 7 of Diamonds, and Says "have a nice day!"
>>Bernard Plays the 6 of Diamonds, and does nothing, looking sheepish.
>>Christa Plays another 7 of Diamonds <they are using two decks>, and does
NOTHING.  after a few seconds, Alan gives Bernard a card for "not having a
nice day".
>>Bernard says "point of Interest, That wasn't my card! Christa played it",
Alan says" it was correct according to the rules, End point of interest".  
>>David puts down the 4 of clubs, but it is a Bad play, and Alan gives it back
to him, along with a penalty Card.
>> Edgar, noticing the pattern, Plays the 8 of diamonds, but doesn't do
anything.
>> Alan growls a bit.. but doesn't play... after five seconds, he gives
Bernard a card "Five seconds".
>>Christa Plays the 10 of Diamonds, and thinks a moment, then says" Thou shalt
not have a Good day, but a Bad day" (this is why it's called Commandment-mao).
Alan and Bernard both nod.
>>David Plays the 10 of Spades, and Says "Though Shalt not have a good day,
but a bad day", Alan gives him a card for repetition of Commandment in a
single game. And a second card, for not calling his spade
>>Edgar plays the 9 of Spades, and says "9 of Spades"...Alan gives him a card
for not having... "billions and billions of blistering blue barnacles" (I'll
never know how that rule got in there).
>>Alan plays the 3 of spades, and says 3 of spades, then takes two cards from
his hand, and passes them to Edgar.. who takes them after a second.
>>Bernard plays the 3 of Clubs, hits Alan in the Shoulder <not too hard> and
passes HIM two cards. Alan grumbles again.
>>Christa Plays the Jack of Clubs, bops David on the head, and throws one of
her Cards at Bernard.
>>David plays the jack of Hearts...but doesn't do anything.. Edgar makes a
motion at him.. as if he where throwing a card at someone. Alan gives edgar
two cards for "gesturing", and david one card for "failing to shoot another
player with a card," and one card for not Knocking on the table.
>>Edgar plays the 2 of Hearts <this ones tricky> knocks on the table.
>>Alan grumbles again... Christa Plays the 1 of Hearts, knocks on the table
and says "meow". Alan says Meow, softly. Edgar does to, then david and
Bernard, in that order.
>>Bernard Plays the 5 of hearts, and sings the theme from Gilligans Island, or
part of it, and rather off key <g>, then knocks on the table.
>>Alan plays the 7 of hearts, knocks, and says "have a nice day"
>> Christa Calls point of interest "You broke the commandment!", "oops, I did"
says Alan, and takes a penalty card."end point of interest" 
>>Edgar plays the4 of hearts, and knocks... not doing anything, Alan gives him
a card for not starting a coughing circle. <like the meowing circle>
>>David plays the 4 of Clubs, hits david, and coughs loudly, Christa coughs,
as does bernard, Alan and Edgar.
>>Christa gets an evil look in her eyes, and plays the queen of clubs, hits
David, plays another Queen of Clubs, hits david again, says " last card" <I
think she's got one card left.. let's pretend she does> then plays the king of
clubs, hits Alan, then hits herself on the forehead, and says Mao.
>>people around the table start cursing, "nice Play" says Alan.. up for
another game?

NOTE:
In case ya didn't notice.. every card does something...iffyn ya can't figure
out the rules from this, tell me.. I'll try to help some on ones ya got
fuzzy... The way it works out here.. is that the only people who can discuss
Rules are cald Dealers, people who can actually Deal the Games.  At the
dealing.. Since the dealer goes first, he HAS to deal at least one extra card
to himself then the most cards he deals to others, he gives out cards based on
how well they know the game.. and how many cards are in the deck.  There is
only one rule told to beginning players, since it should be painfully
obvious.. NO TALKING unless called for... Commandments May cancel out, or
modify one another... or may be "thou shalt disregard all previous
commandments".  These are a few things that, if yer gonna deal a game, ya have
to know.. so I don't much mind telling ya...
